New global infrastructure for cross-border e-commerce logistics

The general trend of cross-border e-commerce B2C is irreversible. In the future, the era of cross-border customized, flexible supply chain production, supply and sales guided by consumption has come. The share of small batch and multi frequency online trade in the foreign trade market will continue to increase, and the trend of trade digitalization will become increasingly prominent.

The new round of global trade needs digital and intelligent global business infrastructure as a service guarantee. The cross-border logistics, which accounts for about 30% of the transaction costs of cross-border e-commerce, plays a pivotal role in the whole cross-border e-commerce transaction chain. Logistics timeliness is directly related to user experience and seller's cash flow. The development of domestic e-commerce has given birth to the B2C warehouse distribution integration logistics model, and reconstructed the consumption scene of people, goods and markets. In essence, it is the reconstruction of the original commodity circulation system, value division chain and infrastructure. Cross border e-commerce will usher in a new round of reshaping of global logistics and even business infrastructure.

Taking international air transport as an example, in the era of traditional bulk trade, the types of goods transported are mainly cardboard and cardboard boxes. In the era of cross-border e-commerce logistics, the number of orders for fragmented packages has increased significantly. More and more small and light e-commerce packages have a great impact on the source composition of air transport and the cost and benefit model.

In the overseas import customs clearance link, a large number of cross-border e-commerce packages have brought great challenges to the customs clearance system of European and American countries. Due to the limited staff of the customs and the outdated equipment and systems, it is impossible to make efficient and reasonable arrangements for the declaration of the value of a single package and the verification of tariffs. E-commerce package taxation has become a worldwide problem.

After a large number of Chinese cross-border e-commerce sellers' goods arrive in Europe and the United States, they basically need overseas warehouses as supporting facilities to provide diversified services such as unpacking, distribution, labeling, temporary storage, transit, listing, consignment, return and replacement, maintenance, distribution, etc. Next, with the increasing proportion of overseas warehouses, the digital intelligent transformation of overseas general warehouses is also a trend.

Cross border logistics

In the "last kilometer" delivery link, many overseas express companies still have a lot of room for improvement in terms of the full link visualization of the logistics track and the timeliness of delivery. If the domestic e-commerce logistics model and intelligent technology equipment are effectively copied and exported in batches, there will be a good overseas market space. To be sure, at present, Difang also has a relatively successful exploration in overseas logistics distribution.

Recently, with China's accession to the RCEP Agreement, a wider intra regional cycle covering core economies such as China, Japan, South Korea, and ASEAN is taking shape. At the same time, the economic system of "intra Asia Pacific regional cycle+intra regional and intra regional dual cycle" with China as the core is expected to gradually become a reality.

The process of increasing globalization of cross-border e-commerce is the process of continuous collision and integration of domestic e-commerce and logistics infrastructure and standards with foreign countries. The interconnection of e-commerce and logistics infrastructure and mutual recognition of standards will promote China's commodity and service trade to participate in international competition and division of labor cooperation at a higher level in the long run.

Cross border e-commerce will become a booster of the economic globalization of openness, mutual benefit and win-win results advocated by China in the "post epidemic era", and cross-border logistics will become the main artery for building global business infrastructure. A new wave of new infrastructure construction of global logistics launched by cross-border e-commerce has arrived.
